Maldives is famous for its marine diversity and especially for its whale-sharks, which average well over 20 feet in length. The country has some of the most fabulous sites for diving in the world and luxurious Diva is the ideal base. The most beautiful sites are less than an hour from the Resort. The boat journey makes diving trips even more enjoyable. Guests set out in dhonis, a traditional Maldivian form of boat, and an experience in itself. The sea is never closer than in the exclusive Water Villas, standing on stilts over the lagoon. You can simply slip from your own private deck into the water.

The island is 25 minutes from Malé by seaplane and 2½ hours by boat, a short journey but one that you will never forget.

This delicate fusion is well illustrated by the bathroom: a private garden, brightly coloured bougainvillea shrubs, a garden where mineral and vegetal subtly intertwine. 84 - Water Villas (71m²) & Prestige Water Villas (98m²)

Sunrise or sunset: the choice is yours… The 84 water villas built on stilts are spread along the East (Water Villas) and West coasts ( Prestige Water Villas) of the island, all in total communion with the ocean and its magic, all in celebration of the water. Water surrounds those who choose these villas, an omnipresent, recurrent theme in the turquoise blue and sand-coloured cushions. In East-facing villas ( Water Villas) , the gentle breeze softly moves the canopy beds’ veils and the rooms offer a breathtaking uninterrupted view through all the bay openings and from the large bath. 
In West-facing villas ( Prestige Water Villas) the lagoon is a dominant feature even in the shower which offers a splendid view over the water. The bath opens directly on the terrace and lower down, on to the lagoon, inviting you to escape. Recline on the main terrace and let your mind wander, sail far-off seas, meet the legendary pirates and mermaids.

45 - Beach Villas (95m²)

The Beach Villas are as attractive as the Beach Pool Villas, with larger gardens but without individual swimming pools.

12 - Beach Pool Villas (116 m²)

The west-facing Beach Pool Villas offers sensational views of the lagoon and sunsets.
The rooms, with their luxurious en-suite bathrooms, are pure elegance and the extensive use of local wood for the floors and fittings, as well as the Pierre Frey fabrics from Paris, give an added warmth.
The décor is subtle and elegant, with sand and ochre colours that echo the beautiful sandy beach, just outside.
The individual terrace is more like extended living space, with its wooden decking and a settee for reading, lounging or simply gazing at the lagoon. There is also a table, large enough for meals or for use as a writing desk. Each Villa has a private garden on its far side, featuring a sunken swimming pool with a wooden deck surround, 2 sunloungers and an outdoor shower.
There is plenty of room for a cot and there is an overall feeling of spaciousness and a sense of being part of nature.

Presidential Villa (360 m²)

Diva’s Presidential Villa is the height of luxury in these exceptionally beautiful settings. Attention to detail is clear as soon as one steps into the villa, a refinement which contributes to a distinctive elegance in this grandiose setting. The glass floor in the centre of the lounge area is like a life size aquarium, provides a fantastic marine show, an exceptional viewpoint for your guests. The stage is set… the fantastic aquatic ballet can begin: at your feet there are thousands of multi-coloured fish such as yellow back fusiliers, sergeant major damselfish and other exotic species. This is natural beauty at its best... reflected in the fabrics and their regular pattern, just as the waves, as well as in the turquoise blue and orange hues. Relax in the lounge and admire the aquatic show or enjoy the serenity and luxury of the sumptuous terrace; a splendid combination of luxury wood decking and chequered granite slabs laid on the water.
